Welcome to Miles End, loads of new music incoming
Posted by Miles End on Sunday, 29 January 2017
“It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves”. And so it was that Wol, Chad and Jojo were destined to write music together. Bonding over a mutual love of disco, soft fabrics, red tins and keytars, the Miles End principal is simple “Much House, Heaps Disco”. The Miles End sound is akin to playing a fairy dusted key-tar whilst riding a unicorn. This music is made to play live, so grab a cocktail and settle in, we can take it from here.
Recently I’ve taken my music in a new direction by doing some production for other artists. This first track is for the wonderful Lacia (Lesley Williams) and was mastered by Wayne at Suture Mastering. This is a sneak peak into the Ableton session.
I’m currently taking on more production work so if I can help with song production, beats or mixing please hit me up through here.
After 5 years on the sidelines I’m proud to be back in the studio with Brother Richards as Kamuku. We’ve just finalised a brand new 2-track EP. So excited!
Our latest EP “The Feeling Is Now” is featured all this week over at Traxsource. Hit’s all other stores in a fortnight. Soulful and Nu Disco vibes on this one.
Our latest EP “Breaking The Habit” has just gone on Promo over at Traxsource. and is now featured! Nu-Disco vibes on this release! Enjoy – Wol & Josh
Decks and the City need your help!
Decks and the City is a film about music passion in the electronic music scene and the nightlife that forms a major part of the culture around it. The idea for the film was born a midst a very negative focus on dance music in the mainstream media. This film is dedicated to showing the passion, dedication and hard work involved in the electronic music industry. Whilst predominantly Adelaide focused, the concept applies Australia wide and in many ways globally.
Glen and James have been interviewing producers, dj’s, promoters and club owners (old and new) as well as filming loads of parties and club nights.
The lad’s have a Kickstarter campaign to raise the final funds to finish the post production and to get it released. They’re so close with only 39 hours left but need one final push of donations to get them over the line.
If you feel like donating, even a $1 will help, then you can watch an intro video and donate here:
And if you’d like to see a teaser with a few words from Josh and I then have a look here:
